Mr. Clark, age 58, served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Talivity, Inc., a provider of staffing, marketing and technology services, from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OGH, LLC, a healthcare staffing, technology and workforce solutions company, from 2002-2015, and as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacor from 1999 to 2001, a provider of content and financial software application services. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Clark served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Poppe Tyson, Inc, a global digital marketing agency, and from 1986 to 1994 he served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cross Country, Inc., a healthcare staffing company, which he co-founded. Mr. Clark earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
On February 1, 2019, Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed William J. Burns as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Burns, age 49, had served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer from April 1, 2014 to January 28, 2018 when he was appointed to Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Burns will no longer serve as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, effective February 1, 2019. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Burns served as Group Vice President and Corporate Controller for Gartner, Inc., a technology research and advisory firm.
Susan E. Ball has served as an Executive Vice President of the Company since January 1, 2017, as General Counsel since May 2004 and Secretary since March 2010. Prior to that, Ms. Ball served as our Corporate Counsel from March 2002 to May 2004. Ms. Ball also served as a Director of Jamestown Indemnity, Ltd. from September 2008 until its liquidation in the third quarter of 2015. Before joining us, Ms. Ball practiced law at Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A. from November 1998 to March 2002 and at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom from 1996 to November 1998. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Ball was a registered nurse. Ms. Ball received her B.S. degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University, her Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, and her Masters of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
Karen began her career in recruiting with Medical Doctor Associates 20 years ago in the Permanent Placement division. She moved to the Allied Health Group division and most recently led MDA’s Advanced Practice division. Karen attended North Georgia College, graduated from North Georgia Technical College, and worked in the healthcare industry for several years as a Medical Laboratory Technician before joining MDA. Her foundation in and deep passion for healthcare allows her to lend expertise and bring real-world solutions to today’s changing healthcare environments.
As the President of Cejka Search, Mr. Gramer brings more than 30 years in executive management experience, having held esteemed positions of Vice President and Managing Director at Randstad USA and A-L Associates. He possesses a distinct understanding of recruitment, brand development and building a sales team to identify new client opportunities. Mr. Gramer has an extensive background in accounting and finance, having originally started his career as an Internal Audit Manager and Senior Audit Manager for such firms as Revlon, Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers respectively. Mr. Gramer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Finance from Monmouth University. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Rider University where he taught accounting.
William G. Halnon has served as Chief Information Officer since February 2017. Prior to joining the Company, from February 2016 to February 2017, Mr. Halnon served as President of Albedon Digital, Inc. From January 2007 to February 2016, Mr. Halnon served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Republic Services, Inc. and, from January 2005 to January 2007, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Spherion, Inc. Mr. Halnon holds a B.A. in Accounting from Langston University.
Buffy Stultz White was appointed President, Travel Nurse and Allied in January 2018. She served as Senior Vice President, Recruiting Strategy and Operations since September 30, 2016. Before joining Cross Country Healthcare, Inc., Ms. White served as Executive Vice President, Global Services and Solutions Consulting, of Pontoon (a division of Adecco) from June 2015 to November 2015. Ms. White served in various capacities at Pontoon and Adecco since 2006 and, prior to that, in various roles at SFN Group, Inc. from August 2001 to July 2006.
Marisa Zaharoff was appointed President, Cross Country Staffing Branch Operations in January 2018. She has served as Executive Vice President, Cross Country Staffing Branch Operations since 2015. Ms. Zaharoff has more than 15 years of nursing, quality improvement, sales, operational and branch management experience. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois and Pennsylvania.
