Cross Country Healthcare Completes CEO Transition

 

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. (Nasdaq: CCRN) announced today that William J. Grubbs became the Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company, effective July 5, 2013. In March, the Company announced that Joseph A. Boshart, who had been the CEO and President since 1994, would be retiring in July 2013 and that Grubbs would be transitioning into that role. Effective July 5, 2013, Mr. Boshart also retired as a Director of the Company. Mr. Boshart led the Company from its private ownership through its IPO in 2001 and its growth as a publicly traded company over the past decade, including several successful acquisitions.

Before joining Cross Country Healthcare, Mr. Grubbs was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of TrueBlue, Inc. (NYSE: TBI), a staffing company, from October 2012 through March 2013. From 2005 through 2011, Mr. Grubbs held various senior executive positions, including Chief Operating Officer, with SFN Group, Inc., a staffing company formerly known as Spherion Corporation. He has more than 25 years of staffing experience.
