"Cross Country Healthcare remains devoted to delivering the highest quality service, clinicians and value to the healthcare organizations we serve, while at the same time growing our businesses and creating shareholder value. Our rankings on the SIA list is a validation of the achievements we have made in all areas. We are continuously working to establish our company and family of brands as true leaders in everything we do. Taking the number one spot on the SIA Largest Per Diem Staffing Firm list is a tremendous honor and a huge compliment to our per diem staffing team," states William Grubbs, President and CEO of Cross Country Healthcare. "We believe our steadfast focus will deliver the growth and market share we are looking to achieve.  Furthermore, our ability to ultimately grow revenue is the result of our hard-working, dedicated corporate employees that continue to produce results."

Vickie Anenberg, Cross Country Staffing President, a division of Cross Country Healthcare, explains, "Our per diem team has been particularly nimble in their ability to capitalize on several organizational strategies to help them achieve this honor of being the largest per diem nurse staffing firm. They have strategically linked to the company's Managed Service Provider contracts, EMR transition staffing contracts and other project-based business opportunities in order to grow their business. The per diem team has also continued to develop their branch markets to see beyond the traditional acute care buyer, their largest segment, to grow revenue in multiple markets such as long-term acute care, ambulatory, schools, corrections, government, insurance and more."

The list was released on August 7, 2017 and ranks 39 firms that generated $50 million or more in US healthcare temporary staffing revenue last year. Added together, the firms generated $10.0 billion in such revenue.  The Report also ranks travel nurse, per diem nurse, locum tenens and allied healthcare temporary staffing firms. Staffing Industry Analysts ranked companies by revenue, according to industry custom, but this ranking should not be taken to imply that a firm with a higher rank provides better service or more value to its shareholders.
