Cross Country Staffing Has Been Awarded Health Care Staffing Services Certification With Distinction From the Joint Commission

BOCA RATON, Fla., July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cross Country Staffing, a leading provider of temporary healthcare professionals and workforce solutions to hospitals and healthcare organizations nationwide, today announced it has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Health Care Staffing Services Certification with Distinction. In 2006, Cross Country Staffing became the largest national travel staffing company and the first public company to receive Joint Commission Certification through its Health Care Staffing Services Certification Program.

"Cross Country Staffing has demonstrated its commitment to providing quality healthcare staffing services to healthcare organizations as evidenced by its achievement of Joint Commission certification with Distinction," said Patrick Phelan, executive director, Hospital Business Development, The Joint Commission. "We recognize and commend Cross Country Staffing for its efforts to provide a safe, high-quality standard of service."

Earning the certification demonstrates Cross Country Staffing's commitment to providing qualified and competent healthcare professionals to hospitals and healthcare facilities across all 50 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Cross Country Staffing underwent a rigorous onsite review beginning on June 5, 2017 and completing on June 22, 2017. Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national standards that assess how healthcare staffing firms determine the qualifications and competency of staff, placement of staff, and how they monitor performance. All certified healthcare staffing organizations are required to collect data on their own performance. To receive the certification with distinction, Cross Country Staffing had to receive 100% on all evaluations and receive no recommendations for improvement.

Vickie Anenberg, President of Cross Country Staffing explains, "It's a true honor to receive the Distinction acclaim with our The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Health Care Staffing Services Certification. This validates our long-standing mission to elevate and differentiate Cross Country as the highest quality provider in healthcare's contingent labor services.  When we first worked on this certification creation with The Joint Commission back in 2006, we did so with the hope to someday highlight our niche to professionals and institutions as truly the best in class for quality healthcare professionals with second to none credentialing and clinical practices. We want Cross County Staffing to be synonymous with "Best in Class" and that is why we make it inherent in our corporate culture to never waver in making every effort to foster the highest quality standards. It's not always easy, but our team's dedication and hard work has paid off once again and I am extremely proud that they have earned the distinction honor."
